Best Conceptual Design Sustainable Remediation of a Former Gasworks, Newport, South Wales.
Best Building in the Further Education Category The Ellis and Kennedy Building at the Loreto Sixth Form College BREEAM rating of Excellent.
National Winner in the Refurbished/Recycled Category for Broad Gate, 22-26 The Headrow, Leeds.
Shortlisted for ‘Outstanding International Development Project’ for the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF). The International Development award is presented for the most sustainable and influential development project undertaken by a UK–based company, with key criteria including: Sustainable Result; Achieving Customer Satisfaction; Teamwork and Working with Local Partners, and Meeting Changing Needs and Cultural Challenges.
Positive Environmental Impact for its project on improving water governance and promoting the fair sharing of water resources in Central Asia.
Winner of the ‘Sustainability’ Category in the 2012 Concrete Society awards for Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) Student Hub & Business School.

Winner of the S–Lab ‘Best New Laboratory Building’ 2012 award for the University of Liverpool, Vine Court residence.

In addition to the above, WYG was appointed as Independent Certifier on the £330 million Birmingham Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme which was recognised with the following awards:

Recognised in three categories by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) for built–in quality, construction, and a temporary ‘decant’ facility at Broadway School.
