Where deemed necessary by the Group Board, the overall sense of direction and the principles of action for the Company is set out in a specific policy document, which clearly states the overall objectives and a commitment to improving performance.
The policy documents demonstrate the formal commitment of the Company, and particularly that of directors, towards good management.
The requirement for a policy can be based on legislation, management system standards or specifications, or other applicable requirements.
Established Group Policy Statements are revisited annually, to ensure that they remain appropriate and continue to meet the Group requirements.
