Integrated with our geotechnical, environmental and engineering design teams, White Young Green (WYG) Environmental provides a dedicated in-house ground investigation service.
WYG Environmental has in-house capability in the following areas:
- Site investigation design, management and interpretative reporting;
- Tailored practical intrusive investigations including specialist access works;
- Production of detailed ground condition logs (to BS5930) and sections using Holebase software;
- Groundwater, ground gas and ground movement installations and monitoring;
- Mining Investigations; and
- CDM Principal Contractor and CDM Co-ordinator services.
WYG Environmental provides a tailored and cost-effective site investigation service to our clients, with professional and pragmatic advice. Field procedures are carried out in accordance with our accredited Health & Safety Management System (OHSAS18001) and accredited Environmental Management System (ISO14001).

WYG Environmental has carried out a significant number of site investigations that have involved restricted access and the use of low impact / minimum disturbance equipment, which includes:
- Low impact probing and sampling;
- Mini rotary drilling;
- Geophysical investigations; and
- Hand-held sampling apparatus.
The use of such equipment allows restricted working conditions to be overcome without compromising the quality of soil and groundwater samples.
