Neil leads 3 teams comprising c.80 consultants across the building surveying, safety management and geo-spatial disciplines. The teams form a core of the integrated Asset and Project Management Division and work on commission across mainland UK, Northern Ireland and internationally. Neil has worked in senior roles throughout his 30-year career and was a partner within a medium sized UK and International LLP Corporate Partnership for 15 years.
With almost 30 years’ experience, Neil’s expertise extends across most sectors and clients providing a full spectrum of building surveying services including; refurbishment, pre- acquisition surveys, technical due diligence, condition surveys, project monitoring, dilapidations, feasibility studies and building pathology.
Neil has specialised in working for major property investment funds in leading major pre- acquisition surveys/technical due diligence of shopping centres and distribution warehousing up to an investment value of £1 billion. Neil has significant project monitoring experience of new build distribution warehousing and offices with construction values up to £15 million. He has considerable design, contract administration and project management expertise in refurbishment projects of £500k- £10million across shopping centres, warehousing and listed buildings with a focus on office refurbishment and alteration.
In delivering the above, Neil managed a Building Surveying framework with a major UK institutional investor for 20 years and has also managed several multi-year asset management frameworks with public and property sector clients. Other sector experience include Retail; working with Boots PLC, Morrison’s and Sainsbury in asset condition and feasibility programmes, Blue Light; leading asset management and refurbishment project delivery for ambulance service NHS Trusts, Social Housing; leading building surveying and asset management services over 5 years for an ALMO, the Care Home sector; leading a major refurbishment programme to a privately owned portfolio of 36 care homes and PFI, where Neil acted as IC/IT on hospital and social housing schemes. Neil also has Defence Sector experience; leading asset condition survey programmes for the MOD.
Neil’s role as a director also focuses on responding to client need through market tenders, bids, presentations and consulting.
