We are delighted to have supported Flintshire County Council in taking the first steps towards the realisation of the North Wales Metro integrated transport network initiative.
Our Highway and Infrastructure design and consultancy teams based in Mold and Manchester have developed detailed and robust design solutions to complete the gaps in the strategic cycle network.
Applying the principles of the Active Travel Wales guidance and internationally recognised design best practice, we have delivered safe solutions that give priority to cyclists and pedestrians and will promote a shift toward those modes of transport.
Working collaboratively, the services we have delivered include: Project management, data collection, auditing, cycle infrastructure design, highway engineering consultancy, cost consultancy, spatial mapping and reporting.
Matthew Davies, Project Director, WYG, said: “We are delighted to be involved in this forward-thinking scheme for Flintshire County Council having designed an innovative, cycle friendly infrastructure plan. We trust our design interventions will contribute towards socio-economic positivity and prosperity for the local community.”
This important transport scheme is a vital development towards enabling sustainable economic growth in the region and achieving the vision for a Northern Powerhouse.
