Working with our clients, Persimmon Homes (Thames Valley) Ltd and Vortal Properties Ltd, we have secured a resolution to grant full planning permission for 35 new homes, with public open space and a community car park, in Ashford Hill, Hampshire. The site, currently agricultural land, is next to the defined settlement boundary.
The Council’s planning officers and the members of the Planning Committee were satisfied that the application successfully addressed a number of planning issues. These included the site’s location on land outside of the defined settlement policy boundary, loss of agricultural land, housing land supply within the borough, ecology, highways, and being contrary to the local Village Design Statement. The officer recommended the application for approval to the Planning Committee. Following debate, and a tied vote being resolved by the Chair, the committee resolved to approve the application.
