We are delighted to announce WYG was among the winners at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards 2016.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the awards as the scheme has been recognising and celebrating excellence in safety performance – longer than any other in the industry.
Stuart Spooner, Group Health Safety and Security Director collected a prestigious ‘Presidents Award’ during a ceremony at London’s ExCel Centre last month.
He said: “At WYG we strive hard in the pursuit of health and safety excellence and the continued successful attainment of the RoSPA award demonstrates and supports the Group’s health and safety ethos. One accident is one too many, our people are our colleagues, our friends and our lifeblood, they deserve nothing less than a safe working environment.”
The President’s award is presented to those organisations who have achieved 10-14 consecutive gold awards.
These internationally recognised awards have become the most sought after accolade by organisations from every sector, offering organisations the opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising standards and to celebrate success.
