WYG's senior management team is strengthening its expertise with the appointment of one of its technical directors to the RICS Building Surveyors Faculty Board.
Craig Hatch, who has worked at the Cumbria office of the consultants to the built, natural and social environment for the last five years, will utilise his new role to keep up to date with the best practice within the industry.
He said: “Over the last few years I’ve progressed my career from senior surveyor to technical director, my current position, and this new role will help enhance my expertise in the sector by becoming more involved with my peers within the Institution and then passing on these best practice processes to WYG's clients.
“WYG has been very supportive of my desire to join the board and through its community engagement policy, allowed me time off to attend meetings.”
Craig’s new role will see him provide input into strategic developments within the building industry and participating on the content of documents used by the profession.
Stuart Cowperthwaite, director at WYG’s Cumbria office added:
“As our lead building surveyor delivering consultancy services on a number of our framework agreements with clients such as Sellafield Ltd and West Lakes Renaissance, Craig is well positioned to contribute to the development of his profession and to further improve leading edge practices. At WYG we are committed to the development of professional standards and are delighted that his skills are being recognised.”
