Occupational Health and Safety Award for commitment to well-being of staff and clients.
Employees at WYG are in safe hands when it comes to health and safety at work as the WYG Group has been awarded a Gold Medal at the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2009, sponsored by NEBOSH (the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), the leading health and safety professional examining body.
The RoSPA Awards are not just about reducing the number accidents and cases of ill health at work; they also help to ensure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place. In the current economic climate, these awards are more important than ever because they recognise that employers care about their employees and will not let slip their standards of health and safety practice.
Paul Hamer, Chief Executive Officer of WYG Group, said: “We recognise that protecting the well-being of our staff is paramount. We are delighted with this award as it is testament to this ethos and our commitment to not only delivering health and safety expertise but also actively practicing it within our business.”
David Rawlins, RoSPA awards manager, said: “WYG Group has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others. Entering the RoSPA Awards reinforces the message that good health and safety is good for business, and clearly demonstrates an organisation’s dedication to improving performance in this crucial area.”
The Gold Medal award will be presented at a ceremony being held at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole Hotel, the National Exhibition Centre, Wednesday May 13 2009. The ceremony will take place alongside Safety & Health Expo 2009, Europe’s leading annual health and safety exhibition.
