WYG International was awarded “Best Conference Presentation” at the annual international construction conference and exhibition in Turkmenistan.
The high-profile conference took place in Ashgabat and, with construction high on the agenda of the Government of Turkmenistan, the event presented WYG with a great opportunity to raise its profile throughout the region amongst key decision-makers in this emerging market.
Around 120 firms exhibited and 40 made presentations at the conference.
WYG International was one of three firms awarded special diplomas in recognition of having made the best presentations at the conference. Such diplomas provide WYG with significant media coverage, including interviews broadcast on national TV the day after the conference.
Ken Charman, Associate Director of WYG for the region, said: “The result of this recognition has created and established a very positive image for WYG in Turkmenistan and other countries in the region. With a number of very senior government officials attending the conference, they realise a distinct positioning of WYG compared to other companies at the exhibition.”
WYG’s presentation highlighted the Aquiva Floating Hotel and the Marks and Spencer’s Building on Baker Street, projects selected to showcase WYG’s credentials in designing and building innovative constructions. The WYG presenters also underlined their approach in separating design from construction and focusing on design and then construction supervision services in order ensure quality and cost-effectiveness in design implementation for the client.
