Conserving, protecting and managing environments worldwide
Our environmental capabilities are part of the glue that binds our business together. Working across teams our qualified environmental experts play a pivotal role in the welfare of project related environments, making sure plans are fully researched and accurately managed.
For many years, our key strengths in water, wastewater and waste have helped EU member states to meet the EU’s requirements. More recently we have transferred this knowledge to help new and potential EU members, such as Romania and Turkey, bring their infrastructure up to EU standard, as well as applying our expertise to improve infrastructure and quality of life in countries affected by poverty and conflict.
We now work with a range of clients around the world, including:
We provide a wide range of services from technical leadership on large and complex projects to specialist expertise on individual projects.
Making a difference to communities hit by climate change
At present each project proposed under the EU-funded Western Balkans Infrastructure Projects Facility development frameworks - that we manage, must include a climate change assessment to support the assessment of long-term viability of the project.
Because climate change so often affects the poorest people, our environmental expertise carefully guide our international development teams through the environmental and social impact assessments that are critical to helping infrastructure projects gain funding.
