Services: Environmental Due Diligence
The environmental liabilities in property transactions cannot be underestimated these days.
The WYG Group has extensive experience helping private and public clients to anticipate the potential costs involved in any corporate deal which involves the transfer of property assets.
Our Environmental Due Diligence consultancy is designed to assess:
- potential liabilities and the significant associated costs of cleaning up or remediating a site
- material revenue requirements you may face in order to continue trading
- capital costs of complying with existing or new regulatory requirements
Environmental Due Diligence will usually form part of a wider due diligence process which examines all legal and commercial issues.
Environmental Permit Applications and Schedule 4 notices
Following the recent revision of the Environmental Permitting Regulations (formerly Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) Regulations), a number of companies previously not included within the legislation now have to apply for, and operate in accordance with, installation specific Permits.
WYG have a proven track record in producing and managing the entire Environmental Permit application for clients from all industrial sectors and providing specialist technical expertise on all aspects of the project. This includes full post-submission client care, from dealing with Schedule 4 Notices and full Best Available Technology (BAT) justification, though to final Permit issue.
Whether you are on the point of acquiring property or divesting it, our early involvement will help you ensure you have assessed all obligations relating to environmental aspects of the deal.
