Physical measures
We have significant experience in developing and designing physical measures to prioritise bus movements, thereby helping to reduce bus journey times. These projects are typically undertaken on behalf of local authorities and include measures such as bus priority at signal-controlled junctions and ‘bus gates’. Schemes are developed in close consultation with key stakeholders and recent examples include:
- A563/A47 junction improvement (Leicester City Council)
- A47 Uppingham Road bus quality corridor Leicester (Leicester City Council)
- A563/Saffron lane junction & A563 Glenhills Way widening (Leicester City Council)
- Halesowen Road / Beauty Bank, Cradley Heath (Sandwell MBC)
- Wednesbury Town Centre and High Bullen bus priority facilities (Sandwell MBC)
