We have a strong track record of successful project implementation in Nigeria, and our success is steadily growing: in 2010/2011, WYG work in Nigeria valued a turnover of £0.7million, and by the time WYG Projects Nigeria Limited was officially launched in 2014, this figure had increased almost four-fold to £2.76 million.
A lot of our work in West Africa is in Public Financial Management, which includes the successful State Partnership for Accountability, Responsiveness, and Capability Programme (SPARC). This large-scale, DFID-funded project supports state Governments to formulate, monitor, and evaluate responsive policies and strategies, and to develop public financial management and civil service capability.
In addition, our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team was appointed on the evaluation of the complex, £27.7million DFID Propcom Mai-karfi programme that focuses on making markets work more inclusively for poor men and women in Nigeria.
We are pleased to offer all of our international development services in West Africa, where we have a strong network of associates we’ve been working with over the years.
