Ewan Snedden Director, Prosperity Fund Evaluation and Learning

Ewan Snedden is a development economist with more than 25 years’ experience in the UK and overseas working with the public and private sectors. He is Director within WYG’s MEL Division.

Ewan is the Programme Director of a WYG-led consortium undertaking the evaluation and learning function for the Prosperity Fund – a cross-government £1.2 billion aid fund. Its primary objective is to alleviate poverty and foster growth in middle income countries where around 70% of the world’s poor live. The Prosperity Fund is an innovative approach to delivering a part of the UK’s Official Development Assistance, spanning DFID, FCO, DIT, BEIS, HMT, DoE, DoH and Cabinet Office.

  • Project and Programme Management/Leadership: programme director roles for small to large scale international development consultancy contracts.
  • Economics: Economic development, feasibility, appraisal and impact analysis.
  • Evaluation: Quantitative and qualitative research, creating and reviewing theories of change, logframes and results frameworks, VFM assessment, real-time learning.
