Hearty congratulations to our Head of Project Management, Dave Corbin, who has been named a Fellow of the Association for Project Management (APM). With over 25 years’ project experience, he now leads over 130 project managers around the world at WYG and has demonstrated his commitment to continued professional development and support for the Association.
Dave’s many accomplishments range from promoting the Project Management (PM) profession as an APM Education Ambassador and supporting PM capability within client organisations to restructuring WYG’s PM team as a strong sector led business.
Over the years, his contribution to high-profile programmes, projects, and frameworks across multiple infrastructure sectors has positioned him to become an invaluable proponent of effective and collaborative project management. He has also proven instrumental to progressing the BIM4PM digitisation agenda.
Elizabeth Russell, Chair of the APM Wessex Branch, commented on Dave’s induction as a Fellow: “Since Dave joined the Wessex Branch Committee in 2018, he has been one of the most active members, enthusiastically taking on the dual roles of Higher Education Institution Lead and Corporate Membership Lead, making a significant contribution to building and reinvigorating relationships within the Wessex region.
“He has actively promoted more engagement with the APM and the securement of APM PM qualifications amongst his staff.”
Dave regularly champions the project profession at industry events, including the Project Challenge Expo 2018 at London Olympia where he presented the benefits of modern apprenticeships and a host of presentations to students at universities about taking the next steps within their chosen professions.
Dave added: “I am thankful to the APM for the trust they have placed in me, and I’m proud of the work our PM team at WYG continues to do, having now established a track record of delivering prestigious major projects and programmes across a number of sectors around the globe.”
Clive Anderson, Managing Director at WYG, noted: “Dave is an inspirational leader with an increasingly high profile across industry, a genuine thought leader influencing the ongoing development of the Project Management Profession.”
