Anna Gaffney joins our Edinburgh planning team as a town planner. The appointment further bolsters the town planning team as well as coinciding with the relocation of WYG’s Edinburgh office to bigger premises as our Scottish workload continues to grow.
Anna joins from East Dunbartonshire Council where she worked as a development officer, responsible for the management and assessment of major and strategic development applications. Anna, who has a comprehensive knowledge of the Scottish planning system, will be responsible for promoting a range of development projects such as renewable energy and residential through to academic and retail schemes.
WYG ranks amongst the top five planning consultancies across the UK.
Richard Phillips, Planning Director, WYG, said: “Anna is a very welcome addition to the Edinburgh team at a very busy and exciting time. Following last year’s referendum, we are seeing an increasingly confident development sector in Scotland.”
Our Edinburgh office relocated on 30th March to The Cube on Leith Street, an iconic building set over six floors. It is now home to our highly experienced team of planners, transport planners, engineers, project managers, ecologists and urbanists.
The new office will allow WYG to continue to expand across all sectors, helping serve our diverse range of clients from renewable energy developers to retail operators and from the MoD to National Grid.
