We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Novis as Infrastructure & Built Environment Divisional Director of our Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) team.
Steve will use his extensive project management experience to oversee our architectural, engineering and design teams across a variety of regeneration schemes in multiple sectors. He will primarily be based in Poland, and WYG’s new London office at Angel Court when in the UK.
With a distinguished career in international engineering, transport and project management, he joins us from project management consultancy Atkins, where he led a workforce of 1,200 engineering professionals as Director, covering all areas of infrastructure.
He started his career in transport, working on a number of sections of the M25 before supporting the construction of two major expressway projects in Kuwait City.
After returning to the UK, Steve moved into project management and lead a range of projects in aviation, education, laboratory, industrial and transportation. He was later appointed Managing Director of Atkins’s Project and Programme Management business, where he worked with high-profile companies like Shell.
In 2009, Atkins’ Polish branch appointed Steve to Managing Director in Warsaw, where he spent five years managing design and construction projects, like a liquefied natural gas plant in Świnoujście, Poland (the first installation of its kind in central Europe).
Steve is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of the Association for Project Management.
Jesper Damgaard, Managing Director of International Development at WYG, said, “We are delighted to welcome Steve to WYG. With his wealth of project management experience across multiple disciplines, he will be a valuable addition to the team. We recently celebrated the opening of our new office in London, and with Steve on board, we are looking forward to expanding our service offering and further establishing the firm amongst the world’s top global consultancies.”
