We are delighted to be supporting students at Craigmount High School, Edinburgh who have reached the UK finals for the UK Space Design Competition.
Reaching for the stars, the secondary school students made it to the final by submitting a video in response to a brief where they had a day to produce a detailed design for a space settlement. This followed a presentation to a panel of judges who included experts in the field and representatives of the UK Space Agency.
The aim of the competition is to promote collaborative working to develop a space-based infrastructure that requires complex, challenging, and imaginative thinking with the hope of leading to an increased interest in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics.
Watch their application video below.
We are delighted to have supported Craigmount High School with corporate sponsorship, assisting with travel expenses and supplying branded t-shirts to wear for the finals which take place this weekend (Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March) at Imperial College in London.
