At this year’s Sustainable Communities conference, a cross-disciplinary panel of experts from WYG will present a masterclass on the evolving housing-development landscape. The ‘Planning for Sustainability’ presentation will examine the impact of a raft of new regulations and planning guidance affecting the industry and will provide clear advice on how to manage these changes.
As the only Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) framework member presenting at conference, WYG is uniquely placed to guide delegates on changing project responsibilities and stakeholder relationships. The masterclass panel will demonstrate how housing and local authority professionals can respond to the key issues affecting the market and support sustainability without compromising commercial or social ambitions.
With facilitation from Deborah Vogwell, HCA Frameworks Manager, the masterclass will address a range of issues including the withdrawal of DfT Guidance on Transport Assessments, the introduction of new CDM regulations and new environmental assessment legislation. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from the in-depth knowledge of the WYG team about strategies for a sustainable, cooperative and long-term approach to delivering sites for development.
The fifth annual Sustainable Communities conference takes place on 17th March at the Mermaid Theatre in London. Hosted by Govtoday and supported by the Department for Energy & Climate Change, this year’s theme, ‘Mitigate and Adapt’, will focus on strategies for resilience in the face of environmental change.
The masterclass presentation will take place at 2.20pm in the auditorium.
