Multidisciplinary consultancy, WYG has announced a new Head of Planning for its Manchester office and has awarded a number of promotions to employees within its Planning team in recognition of their efforts in growing the business in the North West.
Paul Shuker is promoted to Head of Planning after more than a decade with the company. His role will include providing planning advice to a range of private and public sector clients on retail, residential and mixed-use development. In addition, Paul is currently advising on the £37.5m RE:NEW project to deliver Chester’s new theatre, library and cinema.
Manchester also welcomes other promotions at their office base including: Richard Shepherd, who moves to Associate Director; Mike O’Brien to Associate; Catherine Johns to Principal Planner and Angela Scarr to Principal Planner.
To meet the increasing demands of workload, WYG has also appointed Elinor George, who joins from Persimmon Homes and Matthew Britton, who joins from Cotswold District Council, both as Town Planners.
The Manchester Planning team now incorporates 12 fee earning members of staff.
