WYG has appointed BBC veteran Simon Marr as Divisional Director to lead our Risk & Security Consultancy business.
Simon will support clients in creating and protecting value, while remaining secure, compliant and resilient. This will focus on FTSE 100 clients, existing HM Government customers, and the broader Security, Justice and Defence Sectors.
Simon previously led the BBC High Risk team in the development and implementation of high-risk security and safety policies that enabled BBC employees to work in challenging and dangerous environments. He later provided safety advice to the BBC Executive Board after being promoted to Director of Safety, Security & Resilience.
On top of an impressive 28-year service record as a British Army officer, he has also worked in the Ministry of Defence, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and the Cabinet Office on security and stabilisation policy issues.
We welcome Simon’s inclusion as we develop our risk and security consultancy to help organisations manage political, economic, and security risks in complex and hostile environments.
Clive Anderson, Managing Director at WYG, said: “We are delighted that Simon has joined the business to help develop our specialist global risk consultancy that will helps organisations succeed in a volatile world.”
