WYG was among the winners at this year’s Brownfield Briefing Awards ceremony in London on Thursday 15 October. The programme, project management and technical consultancy was Highly Commended in the Best Project Closure / Verification Process category for its remediation work on a Petroleum Filling Station Spill in Crossgar, Northern Ireland.
Commenting on the Awards, Marc Davies, WYG’s Head of Environment, said: “We are thrilled to have received this recognition from such a prestigious judging panel. We have worked in the brownfield remediation industry for over 20 years and this is testament to the expertise of our consultants who deliver practical, innovative and sustainable solutions in addressing the complex challenges of brownfield sites.”
WYG also sponsored the Best Sustainable Building on a Brownfield Site Award, which Marc handed out to the winner, Opus International Consultants & FDG Fairhursts.
Now in its eleventh year, the Brownfield Briefing Award ceremony took place at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London.
Organised by Brownfield Briefing, the annual awards recognise the outstanding achievements made by individuals and the collective, through the use of innovative techniques, awareness of sustainability, engagement of stakeholders and demonstration of best practice.
