We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for a prestigious Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Award for Planning Excellence. The short listing is for WYG’s Learning and Development Strategy in the ‘Employer Award for Excellence’ category. WYG is one of the top five planning consultancies in the UK.
With the RTPI as a learning partner, WYG has developed a Learning and Development Strategy that supports its planners working towards election as a chartered member of the Institute as well as their continued professional development. The strategy includes on-the-job training, mentoring, and an introduction to different disciplines across the consultancy.
Steve Fidgett, WYG’s Head of Planning UK, said: “This shortlisting provides further recognition that WYG delivers best-practice learning and development for our people.”
The RTPI represents 23,000 planning professionals worldwide and promotes spatial planning, shapes policy and raises professional standards.
Janet Askew, President of the Royal Town Planning Institute said: “The shortlist reflects the very best planning projects, strategies and processes that are helping to make great places for people to live and work. The 80 finalists highlight exceptional examples of planning that have made an impact and brought considerable benefits. It will be a tremendous challenge picking individual category winners from such a high quality field.”
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held at the Pullman London St Pancras on 6 July 2015.
