We sponsored a social networking event with ACE Progress Network Midlands in Birmingham’s historic Canal House on 23rd August. Our Group Business Development Director, Rajiv Sudan, held a keynote talk and facilitated a Q&A session with young engineers and consultants about winning work within national and international markets.
As a prominent and respected voice within the built environment sector, the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) represents the interests of professional consultancies and engineering companies within the built and natural environment. Its members, including WYG, actively engage with the development of social and economic infrastructure at every stage in both the UK and abroad.
We are proud to support ACE’s Progress Network in offering young professionals opportunities to network with their peers and develop business skills. We were especially keen on promoting this event in Birmingham, where we continue to support commercial city developments across sectors including planning and transport, project management, and cost consultancy.
During his talk, Rajiv discussed some of the applications of best practice by breaking down the process of how to secure work within the engineering and consultancy profession.
Rajiv said: “Supporting these kinds of events is a great way for us to give back to the profession. We want to help the next generation of talent really hit the ground running when they enter this field.”
ACE regularly hosts a variety of knowledge-sharing roundtable and social events. Both Rajiv and Clive Anderson, Managing Director at WYG, currently serve as Board members with the Association and continue to play an integral role in supporting these events.
