How should Scotland be planned over the next 20 to 30 years to account for inclusive and balanced growth, technological change, environmental impact, and social justice? National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4) will broach all of these, and to stimulate this pivotal conversation, we are sponsoring the Royal Town Planning Instiute's Scotland Annual Conference on 2nd October in Edinburgh.
As the premium planning event in Scotland, the conference attracts delegates from public, private, and voluntary sectors across built environment professions and interests. Our Edinburgh-based Planning Director Stefano Smith will join a line-up of these experts at the COSLA Conference Centre to present on sustainable economic growth.
The conference explores trends, opportunities, challenges, and actions required by planners to benefit Scotland. This year’s event will also highlight lessons to be gleaned from planning approaches in other parts of the UK and Europe, with ample opportunities for delegates to engage in debate.
Stefano commented on the upcoming conference: "This is an important chance for stakeholders across the whole planning sector to cultivate meaningful conversations that will inform the development of NPF4. We all want to enact disruptive change in Scotland, and I can think of no better event to advocate for that.”
