In partnership with Birmingham City Council and the Homes and Communities Agency, we are supporting regeneration works on The Aston Advanced Manufacturing Hub (AMH).
Birmingham continues to house some of the UK’s most successful manufacturing companies, particularly within the automotive and aerospace sector. As one of six flagship economic zones within the city, the 20-hectare AMH site has been selected to accommodate growth in the sector and provide opportunities for the expanding automotive supply chain.
Our team has offered numerous services to the project, including geo-environmental assessment, ecology, flood risk and drainage, project management, planning, and utilities. The services are being delivered throughout three phases, the first of which is complete and has already delivered 10.2 hectares of development within the Aston Regional Investment Site.
The remaining two phases will assemble further land and property, on top of public realm enhancements including the remediation of contaminated lands adjacent to the River Tame. Savills is providing further support as lead property consultant.

To date, the BCC and HCA have attracted £51.5m of investment for Phase 1 and part of Phase 2, contributing nearly 550,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 1,455 jobs.
The project is scheduled to run until 2020. We look forward to bringing further updates on its development as it progresses.
