We are delighted to announce the results of a photography competition run as part of a project managed by our team in Turkey to provide technical assistance for the Garment Training and Entrepreneurship Initiative (GATE for women).
Working on behalf of Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA), the GATE project aims to promote the vocational and entrepreneurial skills of women in the ready-made garment industry in Giresun and Ordu provinces.
The "This is Women” photography competition ran between November 2016 and February with the aim of increasing the awareness among women of their participation and contribution to economic and social life. A total of 1087 photographers from 68 provinces took part in the competition with 5,227 photographs submitted in two categories, colour and black and white.
The judging panel included PR specialist, Ahmet Yeşilçiçek (DOKA) and professional photographers Atilla Alp Bölükbaşı and Vedat Osmanoğlu who met on 15th February 2017 to choose their winners.
