We are delighted to announce that WYG won the Environment Analyst UK Large Firm Business Excellence Awards 2016 at a ceremony held in London on 28th September.
The awards recognise and applaud business achievement over the past 18 months in the world of environmental consultancy.
WYG demonstrated that its environmental consultancy accounts for a significant proportion of the firm’s operations with revenues up eight percent.
It showcased examples where the expertise of the environment team contributed to the success of high profile projects, such as Kirkstall Forge in Leeds. This regeneration scheme on brownfield land is set to create a vibrant community served by a new railway station, minutes away from Leeds city centre, and represents an important Northern Powerhouse project.
The award winning Cliffe Pools project in Kent was cited as another example of innovative business practice. The environment team provided a sustainable solution to reuse dredging to enhance the existing natural habitat for saline invertebrates and water birds.
Catherine Cooke, Environment Director, WYG, collected the award at the ceremony and said: “We are thrilled to win this award which celebrates the successful achievements and growth of our environmental consultancy.”
Marc Davies, Head of Environment, WYG, commented: “This recognition is testament to the high quality of our environment consultants, their outstanding work, and the innovative approach we adopt on all our projects. Well done to everyone!”
WYG provides project management and technical consultancy in a range of disciplines, including transport, engineering, planning, management services, asset management, urban and landscape design, and environment.
