Creative consultants from WYG Engineering in
The scheme transformed the building back to its former glory providing 225,000 sq ft of Grade ‘A’ office accommodation integrated with ground level retail and leisure space.
External works tied the building to the wider Cityscape and created a three storey, glazed pedestrian mall connecting
WYG’s creative and insightful consultants work with clients to identify, define and deliver innovative solutions.
Anthony Fuller, Director, WYG Engineering said: “It was important to improve the aesthetics of the building at the same time as providing a high quality amenity for users. This project has been a real boost for Manchester City Centre.”
The development is now attracting major tenants such as NICE and top brand leisure and retail operators, helping to inject a new lease of life into the area.
The award was presented at the Institution of Structural Engineers annual dinner on 25 September 2009.
