WYG is working in partnership with sustainability expert Dr Ruth Hillary to offer clients a unique combination of expertise from its environment business.
Sustainability has always been on the agenda and now in the face of a toughening economy it is even more vital to future proof business and development. In a changing market place, WYG is helping its clients stay ahead of the game through innovative design approaches to climate change and energy efficiency solutions, and to further strengthen its wider sustainability services offer is working in close partnership with sustainability expert Dr Ruth Hillary.
The partnership with Ruth sees her take a role as a technical director for sustainability at WYG. With over 20 years experience in the wider sustainable and social fields, she has partnered with the company to provide clients with a unique insight on environmental solutions and processes drawn from her blend of consultancy skills, academic rigour and extensive experience of working with public and private sector organisations.
Ruth is the UK Expert to the International Standards Organisations (ISO) guidance standard in social responsibility ISO 26000 and is a member to the Technical Board of LRQA, an international certification company providing valuable environmental and sustainability advice. She has also worked successfully with international organisations such as EBRD, European Commission and IFC, UKgovernment departments, educational establishments as well as multinational companies and SME’s such as Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Standard Charter Bank, Centro and Thomas Swan on strategic environmental and social issues. She was also a contributing member to the European Commission’s Stakeholder Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and how it relates to sustainable development policies.
