Award-winning consultancy WYG is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its planning and design service this month by holding a series of events across the UK, as a thank you to both its clients and employees.
Seven of the Group’s 10 regional planning and design offices, from Edinburgh in the North to Wellington in the South, will host seminars in October, focusing on topical subjects in the industry, including the National Planning Policy Framework and the government’s wider planning agenda, as well as exploring regional planning and design issues.
Some of the UK’s foremost authorities in planning and design, including leading professional practitioners and academics, business leaders and councillors, will speak at the seminars, offering their valued opinions and expertise, answering questions and helping clients explore potential solutions to their planning issues.
John Whittaker, Managing Director, WYG said: “2011 is a landmark year for WYG’s planning and design service, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary. In recognition of this achievement, we want to say a big thank you to our clients and employees who have been with us along the way.
“Identifying the merits of a development scheme and articulating these to local communities is key to achieving successful outcomes. This is constantly at the heart of our business activity and makes the difference between receiving all important planning permission and missing out. The events we are hosting across the country will be informative and enjoyable and a warm welcome is extended to both existing and potential new clients.”
WYG’s planning and design service offers cost-effective, practical advice to public and private sector clients nationwide in town and country planning, urban design, landscape architecture/landscape management, minerals planning and waste planning.
As part of the integrated WYG offering, it successfully bridges the worlds of design, engineering, environment, project management, planning and socio-economic needs and has a proven track record of providing creative solutions to some of the world’s most challenging projects.
