WYG was proud to support 100 years of engineering excellence as the main sponsor at the ACE (Association for Consultancy and Engineering) Centenary Gala Awards and Dinner Dance which was held at The Dorchester, London on 13 November 2013.
Paul Hamer, Chief Executive Officer of international multi-disciplinary consultancy WYG, attended the prestigious event as immediate past chairman of ACE and hosted key clients from across Europe.
Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE, Chief Executive of ACE said: ‘This event was the culmination of our year celebrating 100 years of engineering excellence. It marked the incorporation of ACE in 1913 and celebrated the incredible achievements of the UK industry and the men and women who work in it.’
The event was attended by over 80 European Chief Executives from the consultancy and engineering sector, alongside politicians and other important stakeholders.
Huw Edwards, BAFTA award winner, lead presenter and broadcaster, hosted the event and presented the awards to winners. Projects of the Century were also selected using an interactive voting system allowing the guests to decide on the night.
Following the event, Paul Hamer, WYG Chief Executive officer, said: ‘WYG was a proud sponsor of ACE’s Centenary Gala dinner which is a highlight in the professional services calendar. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening’s celebrations which showcased some of the amazing work our profession has done in this country and around the world.
