Dr Charles Reeve is a leading specialist in Integrated Water Resource Management with more than 34 years' professional experience, of which the last 19 have been in Southern Africa. He is an eminent and recognised Project Director, Manager and Team Leader with experience of project preparation, management and evaluation for international bodies such as Department for International Development (DFID), the European Commission, World Bank, United Nations and World Food Programme. Charles has been with WYG since 2009.
Charles has long-term experience designing, implementing and managing water supply and management projects. He has worked Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Bangladesh, China, India, Oman and Indonesia as well as a number of European countries and all countries in Southern Africa.
Charles has led the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Development Facility since 2013, successfully delivering project and programme outputs, outcomes and impact. He is the key interlocutor with DFID on technical aspects of the programme, and he is the ‘face of CRIDF’ in engagement with key senior external stakeholders including SADC, the CRIDF countries (including engagement with Ministers), RBOs and Financiers.
Charles has authored reports and papers covering all aspects of water resources management including guidelines for the preparation and implementation of IWRM projects in developing countries. He recently co-edited “Building Climate Resilience through Virtual Water and Nexus Thinking in the Southern African Development Community”.
