Chris is WYG International’s discipline head for Governance (including Public Financial Management), he has over 12 years' experience in consultancy and directing projects across sub-Saharan Africa, the Western Balkans, Central Asia and South East Asia. He previously worked in UK local government finance for five years.
Between 2008 and 2016, Chris was a Budget and Cash Management expert on the £60m, seven year, DFID State Partnership for Accountability Responsiveness and Capability (SPARC) programme in Nigeria. Through this programme he has worked in 10 of the federation’s 36 states, and is also WYG’s representative on the Consortium Board. He is now a Senior PFM Advisor on the successor Programme – ARC (Accounting, Responsive and Capable Governments) which runs until 2021. He has undertaken numerous other assignments in the fields of Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS), PFM Training, PEFA and other diagnostic assessments, Budget Preparation and Cash Planning, and Accounting Reforms.
Chris has managed more than 50 projects over the last 12 years for donors including ADB, DFID, EU, UNDP and World Bank.
