Clive’s early career was in oil, gas, and process engineering with Davy McKee and Shell, he read Civil Engineering at Oxford Brookes University then moved into infrastructure and construction management. Clive moved into consultancy in 1992, when he joined WYG delivering a range of process engineering and infrastructure projects before joining the project management division. Clive qualified as a Chartered Civil Engineer in 1995 and worked on a range of large scale infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
He was appointed a Director of WYG in 2002 and then Managing Director of the Group’s Project Management business in 2008. He was promoted to Divisional Managing Director in 2012 with responsibility for 600 multi skilled fee earning staff across 14 offices. Clive is now a main Board Director of WYG and leads all major projects, responsible for the successful delivery of the company’s highest profile global contracts in technical project management and international development consultancy.
Clive is chairman of WYG’s Security Committee and developed the group’s business plan for work in fragile and conflicted affected states through the delivery of proportionate “duty of care” for insecure locations. No stranger to challenging environments, Clive has worked in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Libya, Syria, Turkey, Kenya, Somalia, Germany, Poland and Russia.
Clive is also Vice Chairman of Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE), International Business Group and was elected Fellow of the ICE in 2015.
