In accordance with the Planning Application (Temporary Modifications & Disapplication (Wales) (Coronavirus) Order 2020 (“the Amendment Order”), on behalf of Welsh Ministers, the statutory consultation required to be undertaken by a developer for ‘major’ development is being recommenced in respect of the above outline planning application. The Amendment Order requires that any community consultation (including a statutory pre-application consultation) running during the COVID-19 lockdown period to be restarted and consultation recommenced.
The outline planning application is for the demolition of existing building and erection of Class B1 floorspace (up to 3,000 sqm gross), revised access onto Cowbridge Road, associated internal access routes, parking areas, fencing, landscaping, building and engineering operations with all matters reserved. The application site lies within the Beggar's Pound area of Y De South at Bro Tathan in St Athan.
