This pre-application consultation relates Lidl Great Britain Limited’s intention to submit an application for full planning permission for the extension of their Distribution Centre and reconfiguration of the existing car park and service yard at Waterton Industrial Estate, Bridgend to the local planning authority (Bridgend County Borough Council).
The application proposals have been formulated following pre-application consultation with the local planning officers. The site lies within the Waterton Industrial Estate designated as an existing employment site, within the Bridgend settlement boundary, where employment generating economic development proposals are encouraged. The site is not affected by any public rights of way and is in Flood Zone A, at little to no risk of flooding.
This extension will allow Lidl to continue their store expansion in the Wales including opening new stores, updating the existing stores and expanding their produce ranged including the Welsh line.
