This pre-application consultation relates to Avant Homes’ intention to submit a planning application for 104 dwellings with public open space, landscaping and associated infrastructure on land off Wills Gill, Guiseley.
The proposals are for a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bed dwellings. A proportion of the dwellings will be affordable. The main vehicular access is to be provided from Queensway.
The Wills Gill site is a housing allocation in the Leeds Site Allocations Plan (SAP). The Leeds SAP was adopted on 10th July 2019 and identifies that the site capacity is 133 dwellings (reference HG2-2). The principle of residential development on this site is therefore established and the site is required to meet the housing needs of the Aireborough Housing Market Characteristic Area over the plan period. The Leeds SAP has been through an extensive consultation process since 2013.
