We are pleased to welcome Neil Allen and his team into our planning and transport business to deliver and grow a portfolio of sports planning projects.
In 2007, Neil set up specialist sport and leisure planning consultancy, Neil Allen Associates (naa), and has since then worked extensively with local authorities, Sport England, governing bodies of sport and education establishments, and private sector partners to deliver strategic sports planning solutions.
Within his specialism, Neil delivers a range of services that include playing pitch strategies, sports facility strategies, and sports needs assessments, as well as delivering the facilities planning model (fpm) on behalf of Sport England.
Neil brings with him an experienced core team, Carolyn Wilkinson and David Payne, whose collective expertise will complement and expand our existing planning offering. Part of this move sees the Sport England fpm contract extended to 2021, which will help to support our work around this growth area.
Commenting on his move to WYG, Neil Allen said: "The former naa team is extremely excited about the possibilities and significant growth potential as part of the WYG group. This is an exciting next stage of development. With the same core team at its heart, it will be ‘business as usual’ for clients, but with the added benefit of being able to deliver more and offer the added value of being part of a wider team."
Tim Holden, Director of Transport and Planning at WYG, also commented: "We look forward to learning from Neil's vast expertise in this market, whilst supporting him in realising the growth potential that this move brings."
