Andy Green Director, Transport
Andy has responsibility for the development of WYG’s public sector transport business in the North East, Yorkshire and Cumbria. Andy has developed strong relationships with clients and was instrumental in our successful submissions for the Transport Lots on the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, North East Purchasing Organisation, and Cumbria county Council Frameworks.
Some of his key recent work is outlined below:
- North West Coast Connections: Andy was the transport lead in providing advice to Cumbria CC on all transport aspects of the North West Coast Connections project to provide electrical infrastructure to support the NuGen nuclear new build proposals at Moorside. This included assessment of traffic/HGV impacts, access improvements, road closures, Rights of Way impacts and ongoing monitoring of impacts.
- Glasshoughton Southern Link Road: Andy was the technical lead for the traffic modelling and economic appraisal work to support a planning application and Full Business Case for this 1.3km section of new road. this involved the development of a new SATURN model and economic appraisal using TUBA and COABLT. A full WebTAG compliant appraisal as carried out.
- Bradford to Shipley Corridor: Andy is the project director for this study to develop the preferred option for improvements to this major transport corridor in Bradford. This involves the development of a SATURN model of the corridor, option development and assessment, economic appraisal and the preparation of an Outline Business Case.
