Sarah Wixey Associate Director, Transport
Sarah is responsible for the delivery of freight and logistics projects with over 20 years of experience as a project manager. Her experience extends to Freight, last mile logistics, ultra-low and zero emission vehicles, Delivery and Servicing Plans, consolidation, retiming and out-of-hours deliveries, training, work-related road risk and European research studies.
Over recent years Sarah has done a wealth of projects for Transport for London including:
- Testing plug-in commercial vehicles’ real-world range - managing a consortium of partners to provide independent, reliable and robust information to commercial vehicle operators about the range of different electric vehicle technologies
- Suitability of alternative fuels and technologies for refuse collection vehicles - managing a research project to provide the freight industry with an impartial assessment of the various fuels and technologies that could reduce tailpipe emissions from RCVs
- London Freight Consolidation Study - managing a study to identify appropriate models for consolidation in London and provide a robust assessment of their costs and benefits. The research will also identify the operating conditions and policy framework which increase their potential for success and parameters for site selection.
- LoCITY - an industry led programme that aims to lower emissions from commercial vehicles. Sarah was the LoCITY programme delivery manager responsible for leading a consortium of companies to design, develop and implement the programme.
