We secured outline planning permission for 250 new dwellings on behalf of Homes England on land that forms part of the strategic urban expansion area to the north of Preston.
First appointed in 2015 to undertake due diligence and capacity masterplanning we prepared a planning assessment undertaking noise, drainage and ecology surveys and intrusive site investigations. Our approach allowed us to maximise the capacity of the site whilst also establishing a pragmatic route map to delivery.
We were then appointed, in 2016, to progress an outline planning application for the site. This included further ecological surveys and additional technical advice to support the preferred drainage strategy as well as leading a wide-ranging community consultation strategy.
This project has demonstrated our ability to look in detail at site constraints, devise solutions and provide targeted advice and strategy which allows sites to move forward and enable delivery.
Outline planning permission was granted, subject to a Section 106 Agreement, in November 2017.
