Improving environmental performance
BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) was launched by independent organisation BRE in 1990 and is the UK’s most widely used means of reviewing and enhancing the environmental performance of both new and existing buildings.
Buildings are assessed against performance criteria set by BRE covering a range of environmental issues, from measures to minimise water and energy consumption through to the health and wellbeing of building users, ecology and sustainable transport. Credits are awarded based on the level of performance against each section and the performance is then rated as ‘Pass’, ‘Good’, ‘Very Good’, ‘Excellent’ or ‘Outstanding’.
We have a dedicated team of independent BREEAM assessors who are licensed by BRE to carry out formal assessments, prepare assessment reports and offer related consultancy services. Our assessors are licensed to undertake the full suite of BREEAM assessment methods.
