Principal Designer and CDM Support Services
The Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015 apply to a wide ranging definition of ‘construction’ works that include, for example, site investigations, maintenance of fixed plant and some cleaning operations. Protecting the health, safety and welfare of those involved in these activities is not only a legal requirement but also a key priority to enable and maintain progress on any project.
The CDM Regulations place duties on clients, designers and contractors, with projects involving more than one contractor (including sub-contractors) requiring that the client appoint both Principal Designers and Principal Contractors.
Our Safety Management team has experience fulfilling all roles under CDM and support internal and external designers, contractors and clients to discharge CDM duties. As a business, we hold Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSiP) certification and all our CDM advisers are all members of the Association for Project Safety (APS) and technical members of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) as a minimum.
