Chris Boyd, Director - Monitoring and Evaluation

Chris is an experienced development practitioner with 12 years’ experience in securing work and implementing donor funded monitoring and evaluation (M&E) projects in Africa and Fragile and Conflict-Affected States (FCAS). He currently leads WYG International’s M&E practice overseeing all work in this area.

An expert in quantitative and qualitative research design, project and programme evaluation, economic impact assessment and value for money analysis, his work embraces a number of areas including business advisory services, climate change adaption, feasibility studies, private sector development, project management, rural development, social and civil society development, socio-economic development and, stakeholder consultation.

In his career to date, he has led over 80 evaluations on behalf of UK and international clients. His recent projects include:

  • Evaluation of DFID’s Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme
  • Evaluation of DFID’s Propcom Mai-karfi Programme in Northern Nigeria
  • Evaluation of DFID’s Market Development in the North of Ghana
  • Evaluation of DFID’s Results Based Aid (RBA) Pilot in the Education Sector in Rwanda
  • Independent interim reviews and final evaluation of DFID’s Rwanda Climate Change and Environment Fund (FONERWA) support projects
  • Independent Process Monitoring and Evaluation of the DFID contribution to the UNICEF Programme – Accelerating Sanitation and Water for All (ASWA)
  • Evaluation of the DFID-funded Future Agricultures Consortium (FAC).
