Chris is WYG International’s discipline head for Public Financial Management (PFM), with over 15 years' experience including five years in a finance role in UK Local Government and 11 years international experience including in Nigeria and elsewhere around sub-Saharan Africa, the Western Balkans, Central Asia and South East Asia. He is also a Director of WYG Nigeria.
Since 2008, Chris has worked approximately 100 days a year as budget and cash management expert on the £60m, seven year, DFID State Partnership for Accountability Responsiveness and Capability (SPARC) programme in Nigeria. Through this programme he has worked in 10 of the federation’s 36 states, and is also WYG’s representative on the Consortium Board. He is also providing short-term inputs on the World Bank SEEFOR (State Employment and Expenditure for Results) Project in Delta State.
His consultancy assignments have also included Budget and Training Expert on the DFID Financial Governance Programme in the Gambia, Budget Training Expert on the World Bank PFM Education and Training programme in Somalia, and Budget and Treasury Expert on two phases of the AusAID PFM Competency Frameworks project in the Philippines.
